Early March at the Fill

Here is a video of the landfill today around five o'clock.  It gets pretty quiet and serene when all the trucks are gone and the dust settles.  Sorry for all the wind in the background but it's a landfill, it stays windy. Mostly just Red-winged Blackbirds and Song Sparrows now. I'm still waiting to see the first swallow of the year.

Spring is coming for all in the northern hemisphere and this morning I was watching shorebirds all colored and ready to leave the southern hemisphere to migrate north.

I'm impressed with your wing-flapping favicon.
So much so that I forgot to look at your pictures :-)

Enjoyed the video Ryan. We are waiting for the first wave of early migrants to arrive and add their tunes to the residents' morning chorus.

Funny blog concept. Right up my alley, or land fill as it were. I also post about land fill, or "dump" as I call it, visitations. Great when there's fresh snow to cover all the cucka, sometimes literally!
